Inspired by a timeless icon, Flatiron Building (New York City, USA, the Sunteck Center 3 development is a futuristic and iconic high-end office development situated adjacent to the Bhandra Kurla Complex, in Kurla, Mumbai. The plot sits in a prime location at the junction of the Bhandra Kurla Complex Road and Lal Bahadur Shastri Margand.
The design vocabulary is both classic and contemporary, with clearly delineated volumes optimizing the interior space planning. An elongated linear core to the south ‘self-shades’ the internal office space from glare and the extreme sun falling on this face of the building, whilst providing the most efficient floorplate for open or cellularized office space. The resulting north-facing office space benefits from floor to ceiling glazing to optimize natural daylight and maximize views.
The facade is articulated using a system of recessed and angled cladding panels creating an elegant external profile emphasizing the verticality of the overall development.
